TL;DR - Final Prototype Pictures
Hey everyone,
The final prototype was sent to me and I wanted to share some pictures (old prototype left, new prototype right). I've been speaking with the manufacturer and shipping company to sort out the final details to get the product ready for freight.
When the product is shipped out there will be an additional flyer which includes the barcode and product description. This can be removed once you receive it, and stored in the book. The sizing had been adjusted which you an see in the picture below.
The booklet was also resized to fit the content and increase the margins on the page.
The insert was re-designed with additional slots by the die slot so that it is easier to extract the cards from the box.
The card margins were also reduced to expand the image as far to the safety printing line as possible.
Until soon!

TL:DR - Manufacturing pictures, Specialty cards for all
Hey everyone,
I got some pictures from the manufactures and wanted to share them with you. It is exciting to see everything come together. In a previous update as a thank you for all of your support and patients I made the digital files for the specialty cards available to everyone. I wanted to link to them again to make it easier to find. You can click on the heading or on our friendly murder hobo to link to the files. Feel free to share them with your friends as well.

TL:DR - Manufacturing underway
Hey everyone,
Mass production is underway for the project. I am waiting to get some pictures from the manufacturers which I will send out as soon as I receive them. There was a bit of confusion related to the 2nd prototype; I thought it was going to be sent ahead but they will send it after everything has been completed to get approval before assembly. Looking forward to some exciting stuff in the next few weeks.
Until soon,
Hamid

May Update

Hey everyone,
While we wait on the final prototype, I wanted to share some of the changes that were made. Some of these were touched on in the last update, but I wanted to give more detail. I should have another update out soon where I can show off the difference between the two physical copies have have news on mass production.
Book (Box) Spine
The original version didn't have the name on the spine of the book which has been added. Now it will not only look good on your shelf, but you'll be able to identify it easily when scanning through your collection.
Card Safety Lines
When producing the cards there is a safety line that all the artwork should fit into, and a bleed line where you continue your design beyond the edge of the card. This is because when the cards are cut there is a potential for minor shifting which could accidentally trim the artwork. I've worked to extend the artwork as far to the lines as possible. Below is an example using our Murder Hobo card and a more detailed diagram for those interested.
Green is the safety line, Red is the cut line

Artifacting
There was some odd artifcating that presented in the first prototype where a segment of text would turn white. This as been corrected, and you can also see the increase in image size as mentioned above. In this Dragon Tooth example the word Hours just above the GM Extension is exhibiting the problem.
